Obviously, physical servers have a limit of RAM, but the question is not there. The fact is that the limits of RAM of our dedicated servers are well above the maximum use of a Minecraft server.
We host thousands of Minecraft servers, and the limit of 10GB has NEVER been exceeded for a server. 99.5% of servers actually use less than 2GB of RAM. All our dedicated servers have at least 16GB of RAM, and the majority have 32GB of RAM. We have chosen to invest heavily to host our Minecraft servers on high capacity hardware, specially adapted for this game (lots of RAM, SSD hard disk drive...).The fact that our Minecraft VQS and VQSi offers have no RAM limit is based on a technical reality.
Concretely, what's the point?
Most of competing offers limit RAM memory allocated to your server; for example: 512 MB. If your server reaches this limit, then your server will slow down, crash... And this happens very quickly, especially if you have plugins, multiworld or a lot of players on the server for several hours. So you need to change your offer and pay for additional RAM memory.
With our VQSi and VQS offers, your server can use as much RAM as it asks. 1GB, 2GB, 10GB ... no problem. We consider that the technical constraints of server hosting should not be a problem for the customer.
